Bristol City squad news

Over the summer, Bristol has signed Adam Webster, Andreas Weimann, Mo Eisa, Jack Hunt and Marley Watkins. They have also added Hakeeb Adelakun and Niki Maenpaa on free transfers.

Their biggest outgoing is Bobby Reid to Cardiff, with Aden Flint, Hordur Magnusson and Luke Steele also leaving the club. So the team starting tomorrow will look significantly different to the one that finished last season. One player that will definitely not be in the team is Famara Diedhiou who faces a six-game suspension for spitting. Captain Bailey Wright is a doubt with a thigh strain, whilst Jens Heleger is ruled out through a knee injury.

Nottingham Forest squad news

Forest have added goalkeepers Costel Pantilimon (joining permanently) and Luke Steele to the ranks. They have also added some strength to their defence with the additions of Tobias Figueiredo, Michael Dawson and Jack Robinson.

Their marquee signing Joao Carvalho for £15million is the one that the fans are most excited about, so it will be interesting to see how he fares in English football. Experienced striker Lewis Grabban has arrived from Bournemouth and winger El Arbi Hillel Soudani also joined the club. Gil Dias and Diogo Goncalves joined on loan from Monaco and Benfica respectively. Jack Colback is back on loan from Newcastle United.

So Nottingham Forest has set up a strong squad and will be very hopeful of a successful promotion push this season. Forest finished in a disappointing 17th place in the league last season and have bolstered their squad so fans will be expecting them to be a lot higher in the table come May 2019.

The one-time European giants have waited a long time to have something to celebrate and with the investments they have made this summer, this year could be really good for them.
