Party Time at Silverstone for British Grand Prix

The wait is nearly over for all the F1 fans that will be going to Silverstone or watching it on TV this weekend. It is an extra special British Grand Prix this year because it marks Silverstone’s 70th anniversary and as you would imagine, there will be some serious partying going on. The Silverstone F1 2018 entertainment line-up is even more exciting than ever – Sara Cox is taking to the DJ decks and Sporty Spice Melanie C will be appearing.

Schedule of events

The key Silverstone F1 2018 dates are as follows:

Thursday 5th July – Masters Historic First Practice Session, Sara Cox presents ‘Just Can’t Get Enough 80s’ with Katrina and the Waves, Go West also perform.

Friday 6th July – GP3 Series Practice Session, Formula 1 First Practice Session, Masters Historic Qualifying Session, F1 Second Practice Session, Silverstone 70th Anniversary Parade, FIA Formula 2 Qualifying Session, GP3 Series Qualifying Session, Heather Small followed by Jo Wiley on Main Stage.

Saturday 7th July – F1 Team Pit Stop Practice, Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Qualifying Session, Masters Historic First Race, F1 Third Practice Session, Silverstone 70th Anniversary Parade, F1 Qualifying Session, FIA Formula 2 First Race, Ministry of Sound on Main Stage.

Sunday 8th July – GP3 Second Race, FIA Formula 2 Second Race, Masters Historic Second Race, Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Race, Silverstone 70th Anniversary Parade, F1 2018 Rolex Grand Prix, Melanie C on Main Stage.

Times of the main events

Don’t miss out on the action – the British Grand Prix qualifying times are Saturday14:00 – 15:00 and the main race starts at 14:10 on Sunday. Channel 4 will be televising the event, as well as Sky Sports F1.

If you are attending and need parking Silverstone Grand Prix, there is official parking available on the Luffield and Abbey side of the circuit. You can also use the Park and Ride facilities, which you will see directions for from both the M1 and M40.

Enjoy the weekend of F1 fun, from top DJ artists to petrol-head excitement to see if Hamilton can overtake Vettel in the F1 driver standings on home soil.
