After devastating floods hit the Valencia region, the MotoGP circuit there is set to reopen its doors early next month
The province of Valencia was hit by a natural disaster a few weeks ago, causing severe flooding throughout the area. One of the affected areas was the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste.
The MotoGP season finale was scheduled to take place there on November 17, followed by the official test on the Tuesday. However, due to the circumstances, the event was moved to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where the finale was held as the Valencia Solidarity Grand Prix.
The region is gradually returning to normality after the tragic events, and there is positive news. One of them is that racing activities will resume at the Valencian circuit on December 5th – as part of an event for the German company Bike Promotion.
Access will be via an alternative route, as the access and parking areas were severely damaged and have yet to be fully restored.
However, the track itself was spared any water damage: “The Grand Prix circuit has not suffered any damage and, after being checked by the facility’s safety engineers, it will be put back into use for the track’s customers.”
In addition, the local specialized center for sports training, which trains young drivers in collaboration with the Cheste Education Center, will also resume its activities as soon as classes begin.
MotoGP will return to the Ricardo Tormo circuit from November 14 to 16, 2025. As in most cases in recent years, the race weekend in Valencia will once again mark the season finale.
