FC St. Pauli is the only Bundesliga card in the first Trailblazers team for FC 25. Other top leagues are represented much more frequently – does the Bundesliga “couldn’t care less” about EA SPORTS?
The leakers knew it before the casual gamers – and shared their findings about the Trailblazers promo in FC 25. The first team made the rounds on social media in the run-up to the release. Wolfsburg e-sportsman Benedikt Bauer became aware of it and was disappointed: “EA SPORTS once again confirms that the Bundesliga doesn’t interest them at all.” In fact, the representation of the German top flight in Trailblazers team 1 is modest.
St. Pauli’s Elias Saad is on the only new Bundesliga special card that has found its way into the FUT packs. In addition, Georgia Stanway from FC Bayern Munich was included from the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga. By way of comparison, the Premier League provides five Trailblazers items, La Liga four and Serie A three. However, the French Ligue 1 has been hit even harder than the Bundesliga – no Team 1 card for PSG, Monaco & Co.
“Sick cards” around ManCity striker
According to EA SPORTS, Trailblazers items are used to reward players with the best starts to the season. Omar Marmoush? Andrej Kramaric? Mohammed Amoura? Enzo Millot? So far, nothing. Instead, the developer gives Erling Haaland his second special card in FC 25. The Manchester City attacker has scored ten goals in eight Premier League games and already leads the scoring charts in the English top flight by a considerable margin.
In addition to upgrading his overall rating to 93, EA SPORTS is giving the Norwegian the “Frenzy+” PlayStyle. On X, some content creators are already suggesting that Haaland’s Trailblazers item will become a meta card. Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid) is moving into the Gullit Gang with six 80+-base attributes – including 91-speed. Central defender Gabriel (Arsenal FC) receives the PlayStyle+ “In the air” and strong values for defense (89) and physicality (87).
For VfL professional Bauer, EA SPORTS is setting extremely high quality standards: “What kind of sick cards are these? It’s not even November.” In his X-Post, concerns about the power curve in Ultimate Team are also evident.
