At Arsenal it didn’t look like anywhere else, but under Klopp he’s completely different.

Jamie Redknapp believes that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, under Jürgen Klopp’s supervision, resembles another football player. Last summer, the outdoor player made the transfer from Arsenal to Liverpool, a transfer for almost forty million euros, which was immediately called into question. Oxlade-Chamberlain seems to have found his turn slightly in the last few weeks and was hit by Swansea City (5-0) on Tuesday evening.

“First of all, I was surprised by his transfer and very curious how he would get rid of it,”said the analyst in the Sky Sports studio,”but now he surprised me positively. At Arsenal he was on the water, it didn’t seem like anywhere else. But under Klopp I see a completely different football player. I see he is fit, I see he has a great mentality and I see that he wants to win personal duels.

“It is probably not fair to ask yourself how he was coached under Arsène Wenger”, continues the former midfielder of Liverpool,”but I felt like he hadn’t developed for years. It seemed that he stopped. I have the feeling that many Arsenal footballers are in a similar situation.

Redknapp praises the Ox’s decision to take on a new challenge elsewhere,”You can also sign a new contract and think: I’m on the bank anyway. But he chose to take a risk. He could have stayed with Arsenal, he could have signed a new contract, but he wanted to challenge himself. He now lives in the north and has given himself a chance to play in a first team.

It is now up to Oxlade-Chamberlain to show that he can be valuable to Liverpool for a long period of time,”he is not guaranteed a base place at Liverpool either, but he is now in the team and it will be difficult to rob him of his place. It really was a brave transfer for him and one that bears fruit. Look how he has improved, he has become fitter and stronger and a different player than he was at Arsenal. He really plays very well.
