The German tennis line-up for the Olympic Games is dwindling. In the women’s doubles, hopes now rest solely on Angelique Kerber and Laura Siegemund
The Olympic Games in Paris are over for the German tennis duo Tatjana Maria and Tamara Korpatsch. After losing their singles match, the pair lost 3:6, 0:6 to the Argentinian pairing of Nadia Podoroska and Maria Lourdes Carle and were also eliminated in the first round of the doubles. Maria had gone 0-6, 0-6 without winning a game against Carle in the singles. Angelique Kerber and Laura Siegemund are the second German women’s doubles team still in action at the Summer Games in France.
