Djokovic is aiming for his eighth triumph and wants to draw level with tournament record winner Roger Federer. “History is at stake,” said Djokovic. The 37-year-old is expecting a highly complicated match against the three-time major winner. “The way he moves and the way he’s played on grass in recent years has been fantastic to watch, to be honest,” added the “Djoker”, for whom this is his sixth consecutive appearance in the final at the All England Club.

Alcaraz is expecting a fiercely determined 24-time Grand Slam winner, but the 21-year-old Spaniard is not trembling at the prospect of another Herculean task. “I know what it’s like to play against Djokovic,” said Alcaraz: “I’m sure he also knows what he has to do to win. It’s going to be really interesting.” Alcaraz wants to ensure a perfect Spanish sports day, as the European Championship final is also taking place in the evening.
Last year, the two rivals fought an extremely exciting duel over 4:42 hours, with more than eleven million viewers in Great Britain alone watching at times.
