Champions Schrey/Piana return to ADAC GT4 Germany

Michael Schrey and Gabriele Piana to drive a BMW M4 GT4 entered by Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport in the 2024 season – also guest starter in the ADAC GT Masters

One of the most successful driver duos in the history of the ADAC GT4 Germany is returning: Michael Schrey and Gabriele Piana will take part in the 2024 season and drive a BMW M4 GT4 from Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport

Schrey/Piana already competed as team-mates in the ADAC sports car series from 2020 to 2022 and achieved eight race wins during this time. They were crowned drivers’ champions in 2021. The year before, they finished second in the standings.

“I’m really looking forward to my return to the ADAC GT4 Germany – a series with which I have many fond memories. Together with Gabi and Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport, we have experienced many fantastic moments here, especially of course in the 2021 season when we managed to clinch the championship title. In 2024, we want to be right at the front again and give everything to become champion for the second time,” said Schrey.

The duo took a break from ADAC GT4 Germany in 2023 and competed together in the GT4 European Series. With success: Schrey/Piana also won the title on the European stage. Piana also raced in the ADAC GT4 Germany in 2023 and was team-mate to Trophy Champion Marat Chairow. The Italian is also the only driver to have competed in all ADAC GT4 Germany races since 2019.

The new joint entry in the ADAC GT4 Germany was deliberately considered and is intended to prepare Schrey/Piana for the next step: The ADAC GT Masters, which features the more powerful GT3 cars.

“The ADAC GT Masters is a very interesting platform and also a possible option for us in the 2025 season. In any case, it is certain that we will take a closer look at the series during a guest appearance in the second half of the season and I am already really looking forward to this GT3 outing,” explained Schrey.

The ADAC GT4 Germany season kicks off at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from April 26th to 28th. The ADAC GT Masters season also starts there on the same weekend
