Eight million euros: Cash injection for Freaks 4U Gaming

The Spandau-based eSports agency sells shares in Nodwin Gaming – for eight million euros. Both sides are set to benefit from the ecosystem and network of the other company

Indian company Nodwin Gaming is expanding its investment in Freaks 4U Gaming. The “convertible loan with a volume of 3.6 million euros agreed at the end of 2023 will be supplemented by additional shares with a volume of 4.4 million euros”, the Spandau-based eSports agency explained in a press release. This means that Nodwin now holds “exactly 13.51 percent of Freaks 4U Gaming”. The valuation of the company is “therefore around 60 million euros”.

As part of this agreement, “Nodwin and Freaks 4U Gaming would have exclusive use of resources such as personnel, equipment and facilities in each other’s key regions”.

Access to each other’s PC ecosystem and network

Specifically, Nodwin “will gain access to Freaks 4U Gaming’s network in developed markets, the PC ecosystem and the company’s full-service capabilities. Freaks 4U Gaming, in turn, will gain access to Nodwin’s network in emerging markets and mobile eSports and youth culture capabilities.”

Freaks 4U Gaming founder Michael Haenisch commented: “Under Akshat Rathee’s leadership, Nodwin has become a force to be reckoned with in the emerging market and global gaming and eSports landscape. I look forward to working with Akshat and his team as we continue our discussions on how Freaks and Nodwin will collaborate and grow together in this strategic alliance. “
