PSG will have to do without top talent Zaire-Emery until the end of the year

Warren Zaire-Emery has enjoyed a meteoric rise, but now the damper has come: the 17-year-old will be out until the end of the year – including for the visit to BVB.

Zaire-Emery has established himself in the Paris St. Germain midfield this season – and was also called up to the national team by national coach Didier Deschamps thanks to his strong performances. The 17-year-old made his starting debut for the “Grande Nation” in the record 14-0 win over Gibraltar, becoming the youngest French international since the First World War at the age of 17 years, eight months and ten days.

He also managed to score a goal, but his debut was marred by a foul by Ethan Santos, which resulted in an injury to the Frenchman. Zaire-Emery was immediately substituted

It is now clear that he has suffered a sprain to his right ankle. PSG announced on Monday that the teenager will remain “undergoing treatment until the end of the year”, meaning he will miss the rest of the season for French champions Paris St. Germain.

Super-talented player will miss key CL matches

A bitter blow for coach Luis Enrique, under whom Zaire-Emery had previously been a fixture in the Parisian midfield. Especially with a view to the tricky tasks in the Champions League against Newcastle United on November 28 and Borussia Dortmund on December 13, this poses problems for the Frenchman.

The 17-year-old has appeared in a total of eleven games in the league this season, scoring two goals. In the top flight, he played four games and scored three assists.
