Harry Kane has missed out on the Bundesliga POTM award for the third time in a row. Instead, Florian Wirtz is honored with a special card in FC 24. Some fans are less than thrilled – but they had it in their own hands
Nominated for the vote three times, but missed out three times: Harry Kane once again lacked the necessary votes in the Bundesliga Player of the Month voting for October. With four goals and two assists in three games, the Englishman had done everything he could to earn his first POTM card in FC 24. However, Florian Wirtz was the second Leverkusen player he had to concede defeat to this season.
With one goal and two assists, the German international “only” scored half of Kane’s points in the previous month. Due to his position, however, the same yield is not to be expected from the attacking midfielder. Nevertheless, it is remarkable that the player who scored the fewest goals in October among the six candidates is now the Bundesliga POTM
Two-point upgrade – not a new PlayStyle
The new Bayer Pro special card is available in FUT via Squad Building Challenge (SBC). Only one team needs to be traded in to complete the challenge. A German player object, an item with a rating of at least 86 and an average rating of at least 83 are required. FUTBIN puts the cost shortly after release at around 25,000 coins. But what does Wirtz’ POTM card offer in FC 24?
The overall rating is 87 points, two points more than the gold item. Dribbling remains the strongest basic value (89), and the pass (87) is also more than impressive. The shot (82) makes a leap over the 80 mark. Among the attributes, overview (92), short passes (92) and ball control (91) are particularly impressive. There are no new play styles or boosts for skill moves and weak foot.
Some fans are not really happy with the outcome of the vote. Even before Wirtz was officially announced as the winner, various users on X had already asked for Kane. As is often the case, the voting result in favor of the Leverkusen player had already been leaked in advance. However, as this was a vote within the community, EA SPORTS cannot be accused of anything in this regard
