MotoGP 2023: VR46 continues to back Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi

Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP squad extends the contracts of the two riders – In the long term VR46 wants to establish itself as the best private team in MotoGP

Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team has confirmed its riders for the 2023 MotoGP season. Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi will also pilot the two Ducatis next year. Marini wants to fight for victories in his third MotoGP season. Bezzecchi is hoping to take another step after a very positive rookie season so far.

“I’m very happy to announce the contract extension with the VR46 team,” Marini notes. “It’s important to give continuity to this working group and to the Ducati project, which will lead us to good results and to fight for the podium in the remaining part of the season.”

“We are a rookie team,” said Marini. “It’s the first year that we are all working together and we will continue to rely on this method to achieve great results already this year and in the future together with Vale, who I thank for this opportunity, and the VR46 Riders Academy, which always supports me. “

“The goal is to finish the current season in the best possible way and start strong again next January: We want to fight for the good positions, the podium and the victory in every GP and be the best independent team in the championship,” Marini states the goal for the future.

Team-mate Bezzecchi already put Marini under a lot of pressure this season. The young Italian is considered one of the greatest MotoGP talents of the future. “I am very happy to confirm and at the same time to announce that the contract I signed last year is for two years, so I will continue to ride for the VR46 team on the Ducati in 2023,” he explained.

“I am proud to wear and represent the colours of the VR46 family, Vale and the VR46 Riders Academy, who have always supported me, together with the team and my personal partners,” commented Bezzecchi.

“The team we have built over the last few years is completely new, with technicians coming from Moto2 and others with new roles, but we are very happy with what we have achieved so far. We are focused on the 2022 season and try to finish this first year in MotoGP with the best result before we tackle the next season,” said the MotoGP rookie.
