Chelsea FC will be without midfielder N’golo Kanté for several weeks.
N’golo Kanté, who suffered a thigh injury in Sunday’s draw against Tottenham Hotspur, is expected to be out for three to four weeks. Team manager Thomas Tuchel announced on Friday. “For N’golo it’s quite serious,” Tuchel said. “Not good news,” the German coach added.
Uncertain for September international break
The 31-year-old Frenchman is highly doubtful for the September international break. According to “L’Equipe”, Didier Deschamps will announce his squad for the international matches against Austria and Denmark on 15 September. The coach will probably have to do without his double Paul Pogba (knee injury) and Kanté.
Tuchel’s team next host Leeds United (Sunday, 3pm) in the third Premier League matchday. After two games, Chelsea have four points on their account.
