The Hakro Merlins Crailsheim and medi Bayreuth have signed new players. Heidelberg has to accept one departure
Bundesligist Hakro Merlins Crailsheim has signed Myles Stephens. The 25-year-old US-American last played in Belgium and is scheduled as a forward in Crailsheim, the club announced on Monday. “He is a solid defender and will help the team with rebounding. He has the potential to be a big presence on the court,” Crailsheim sporting director Ingo Enskat said.
Bayreuth lets Sanders go
Ligarival medi Bayreuth has loaned forward Sasha Grant (20) from Bayern Munich for the coming season. The announcement was made by the Wagnerstadt team on Monday. Grant is already the sixth new addition to the Bayreuth squad. Meanwhile, the contract with centre Moritz Sanders (24) was terminated by mutual agreement.
Brekkott Chapman, meanwhile, is leaving BBL club MLP Academics Heidelberg for Japan. As his former club announced on Monday, the 26-year-old US-American will play for the Koshigaya Alphas in the future. The 2.06-metre Chapman averaged 13.6 points per game and grabbed 6.7 rebounds for Heidelberg in the last BBL season.
