84 percent: Who was voted into the TOTY most often?

The Team of the Year has been announced for both the men’s and women’s teams. EA SPORTS has announced both TOTYs for FC 24 – the special cards will follow. But who was voted the most by the fans?

Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi or Kevin De Bruyne for the men. Lena Oberdorf, Millie Bright or Sam Kerr for the women. Some of the big favorites prevailed in the community voting for the TOTY in FC 24. But were they also the most voted for by the FUT fans?

EA SPORTS has provided insights into the percentage distribution of votes in a press release. Ex-BVB professional Jude Bellingham was voted most frequently in the Men’s Team of the Year – he landed in 74 percent of the TOTYs created. Virgil van Dijk and Kylian Mbappé followed in joint second place with 66% each. The large number of votes for the Liverpool FC defender was particularly surprising – the Dutchman had not won a single title with the Reds in 2023

“It’s an honor to be part of the Team of the Year alongside some incredible players,” says Erling Haaland, who is not in the top trio but is of course in the TOTY. “Winning an award that is given by the fans means a lot to me. I’m very grateful to everyone who voted. Thank you so much!” Bellingham also thanked everyone for their votes and added: “I know that many outstanding players have been part of the Team of the Year in the past. “

Putellas takes the top spot

The young Englishman from Real Madrid is outdone by one player in terms of percentage: Alexia Putellas was in 84 percent of all women’s TOTYs submitted. The Spaniard missed several months in 2023 due to injury. In both the Champions League and World Cup finals, the FC Barcelona player was only substituted in the final minute.

Aitana Bonmati, who has won the Ballon d’Or in addition to the World Cup title, Champions League and Spanish championship, received the second most votes. 77 percent of all voters chose her for their Women’s Team of the Year. The podium is rounded off by the third Barça player in the group: Caroline Graham Hansen, who was in 66% of all women’s TOTYs.
