With the maximum penalty, tennis star Coco Gauff sends her second-round opponent home in Miami. She is no stranger to the sport – but still had no chance.
US tennis star Coco Gauff has humiliated compatriot Sofia Kenin at the Masters tournament in Miami. The third-seeded 21-year-old defeated the 2020 Australian Open winner 6-0, 6-0 in the second round, taking just 47 minutes to do so.
According to data provider Opta, Cauff is the youngest player since Madison Keys in 2013 to achieve a so-called “double bagel” in a match in the main draw of the prestigious Miami Open.
For Davis Cup professional Daniel Altmaier, on the other hand, the first round was the end of the road. The 26-year-old lost 4-6, 3-6 to Coleman Wong of Hong Kong.
