253 charges and one arrest after Austria vs Fenerbahce

According to a statement, a total of 80 fans (24 from Austria, 56 from Fenerbahce) were charged in this incident on “suspicion of attempted scuffle, attempted assault, as well as assault and attempted grievous bodily harm”. During the match, Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir was hit by a projectile thrown from the Vienna fan sector. The police will file “charges against unknown persons on suspicion of attempted bodily harm”. Austria will also face repercussions from UEFA in this case.
