Nick Viergever is on the way back at Ajax. The defender has resumed the group training again on Wednesday, as Amsterdammers will let them know on the club website. Daley Sinkgraven also reported again on the training field. The latter, however, is not yet ready for use. He is recovering from a knee injury.
Four publisher was injured at his ankle in November. In the match against NAC Breda (0-8) he was injured. Since then the defender, whose contract expires after this season, has been working on his recovery. On Wednesday he joined again in the selection of trainer Erik ten Hag. He may return to the competition selection for Sunday’s duel with PEC Zwolle. Ten Hag has a luxury problem with the return of Viergever. The complete rearguard of Ajax, apart from Sinkgraven, can now be deployed.
Sinkgraven has also been on the side since the duel with NAC. He still suffers from his knee. The link foot has completed an individual training course. In the infirmary of Ajax are Benjamin van Leer, Vaclav Cerny and Kasper Dolberg. Van Leer and Cerny are not expected to take action this season.
