Bayern Munich is orienting itself towards the transfer market with a view to innovation. Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry are still under contract in Bavaria until this summer and both wings are linked to a room. Florian Thauvin is seen as a possible successor, but the attacking midfielder and outdoor player is priceless according to Olympique Marseille.
Jacques-Henri Eyraud, President of the French top club, does not want to participate in a transfer of his 25-year-old pupil,”he is not for sale. Not for EUR 100 million or EUR 150 million”, says Eyraud in conversation with Téléfoot. The chairman stressed in the interview that Thauvin was an important player for Marseille and that the player did not have to rely on a transfer.
The two-fold France International, which is fixed until mid-2021, was rented by Marseille from 2016 onwards from Newcastle United. The latter club decided to sell the versatile Frenchman for a final sale last summer for an amount of approximately eleven million euros. This season, Thauvin is at Marseille’s doorstep: in 25 league matches he has found the net 14 times and 11 times a fellow player.
