Marco van Ginkel will as soon as possible undergo a new medical examination to find out the exact cause of the complaints to his knee, according to the Algemeen Dagblad reports on Wednesday. The midfielder hired from Chelsea has been suffering from the joint since January and had to pass three matches.
After his switch to PEC Zwolle (4-0) at the beginning of this month, Van Ginkel no longer trained with the group. Phillip Cocu hopes that the further investigation will not bring to light any serious damage:”Let’s not anticipate, but of course we hope that he can be deployed quickly”, let PSV’s rehearser know to the newspaper.
Van Ginkel is an important force for Cocu. The midfielder, who is now working on his third rental period with the Eindhoven residents, appeared in twenty competition duels within the lines, all as a basic force. However, Cocu does not seem to have Van Ginkel at its disposal this coming Saturday against sc Heerenveen either.
PSV is seven points ahead of its competitor Ajax. The club from Amsterdam will come into action next weekend a day later than the director. Erik ten Hag’s team is waiting for an away race against PEC Zwolle on Sunday.
