The absence of Nate Diaz in the Octagon seems to come to an end. Diaz wants to get back in the cage in 2018 and sees UFC real weight champion Tyron Woodley as a serious option, ESPN reports.
This does not come as a surprise. Diaz tweet Diaz last month that he wanted to get back on the bucket, which was then arrested in great numbers. The last time the American stood in the cage was August 2016 against Conor McGregor on UFC 202.
I have reached the point I am fed up with not fighting. I didn’t get younger,”says Diaz.” I put that tweet online in which I wanted to fight in May or June, but didn’t know who was against whom because I was considering my options. And now Woodley is my best option.
I see him every week on TMZ and he talks about me. Then I think: what the f*ck? If that’s what you want to do…. It’s not really my weight class, but I’m in favour. I think it is my title that we are fighting for. If he challenges me, whose title do we fight for? Who is the real champion here then?
The two were linked together in the run-up to UFC 219, when the UFC was looking for a main lot. It wasn’t there then.
