Leonid Slutsky starts working at Vitesse in the summer, but could have ended up in Arnhem before. Merab Jordania acknowledges in an interview with the Russian press that he wanted to take Slutsky to the GelreDome when he took over the club from Maasbert Schouten in autumn 2010.
Jordania says’ not surprised’ by the appointment of the 46-year-old Slutsky at Vitesse:”It is a good decision. I wanted to take Slutsky-san myself to Vitesse, but I didn’t have enough time. He had already received a telephone call from President Evgeni Giner of CSKA Moscow. We wiked and weighed and then we were beaten by my good friend Giner. That is how it went. I am pleased that it has now been achieved and I wish Leonid every success.
When he got the cat? Saved his neighbours, he fell out of the tree and had to give up his career as a goalkeeper. This is it…..
In the time of year -Jordania, Vitesse was ranked fourth and immediately in front of European football. In October 2013, he transferred his shares to Rus Aleksandr Chigirinsky and two months later, Jordan gave up its seat on the Supervisory Board. The Georgian hopes that the performance under Fred Rutten and Peter Bosz can be matched in the next two seasons.
It seems that Slutsky’s arrival is a sign that the club wants to return to the ambitions of the past. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vitesse joined the Eredivisie at the first place next season,”said Jordania. In addition to CSKA Moscow, Slutsky also worked for Hull City, Krylya Sovetov Samara, FK Moscow and Russia’s national team. He signed a two-season contract with Vitesse on Monday.
