According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the future of Stefan de Vrij lies with Internazionale. I Nerazzurri have the best papers to get the defender in on transfer free next summer and would now speed things up in order to complete the transfer quickly. As of January, De Vrij, who has a contract with Lazio and is in possession of an expiring contract, may sign with another club.
In the meantime, De Vrij would have decided in any case not to extend his contract with Lazio. Internazionale is making a bit of progress with the transfer, because it knows that Juventus is slowing down at the moment. De Vrij has completed a five-year contract in Milan, with an annual salary of 3.5 million euros. This amount does not include any bonuses. The only thing missing is the approval of the Chinese club’s owners.
Incidentally, Juventus’s competition is not the only reason Internazionale De Vrij does not want to fish in as soon as possible. The defender is said to have already been watched by Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona, as various Italian media reported on Monday morning. Lazio acquired De Vrij from Feyenoord in the summer of 2014 for seven million euros. In Rome the Dutch national Orange played ninety matches so far, in which he managed to make six hits.
Do you think Internazionale is a good club for Stefan de Vrij?
