Stefan de Vrij’s contract with Lazio is due to expire this summer and it does not yet seem likely that both parties will reach an agreement. In conversation with Lazionews24, the defender says that while he has the intention to extend his commitment, this is not yet a foregone conclusion.
We are in conversation with the club, that’s all I can say at the moment. I can’t promise anything, because you never know how things are going in football. I still hope for an agreement with Lazio, but I don’t know if that will happen,”says De Vrij, who has been playing in Lazio’s shirt since 2014. If he doesn’t come out with the Roman club, he would have plenty of alternatives.
The Free is said to be of interest to Atlético Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan and Liverpool. I Rossoneri would have had De Vrij on the grain last summer, but chose Mateo Musacchio at the time. Leonardo Bonucci also went to Milan, but he falls quite a lot. With the advent of De Vrij, the choice in defence should increase with AC Milan.
Should Stefan de Vrij make the step to the European summit next summer?
